我住的地方河北涿州离北京城很近，退休后我曾一度是“北漂”，对北京城里的门球知道的就很多，起码这三十多年来城里头的门球就知道的不少。

京城的球场，以房山、通州、顺义这三个八连片门球球场为最，坐落在东城地坛公园东门处的六连片和距离北门不远处的两连片可能是京城里最热闹之所在，各级各类大大小小的门球赛事活动很频繁。

垚垚的爷爷刘玖占是北体大退休的，到东城地坛公园的机会多一些，垚垚几岁时就跟着爷爷到球场看热闹，有时帮助拉分。记得有一次我还看到过他在场内喊号，发现他能在比赛中上场打球，是在他9岁那一年。至今三年了，他今年11岁，随队参加了在顺义区举办的京津冀门球赛，还上场打球了，还当了一场临场指挥，他所在的球队还获得了第四名。这本身就是京城门坛的一个新闻。垚垚被被有心计的博士领队、有才华的湘女和他的爷爷等人搞了一本“书”，这是我看到的一份艺术照片集子。在号称一度有500万门球人之众的队伍里，这本集子独树一帜，是门球运动在中国的一个缩影，垚垚走向未来的一块奠基石。

11岁的孩子，主业是上学，他的学习成绩一直在班级处于前列。我过去曾写过一篇《门球小子·苏东方》，当年的门球小子今年从部队退役了，他做的第一件事，用自己得到的钱还父辈在门球圈子里欠下的债，他向我表示回家后还要在门球领域里干成点事儿。这将是我、是他的师父唐老鸭、他的父亲苏凯的一致的愿望。

垚垚是幸运的，他赶上了好的时代，好的一拨儿人，他的爷爷拉了一个名单，这里就不列举了，我们期盼着这颗升起的新星光彩夺目。

    I live in Zhuozhou, Hebei, which is very close to Beijing. After retiring, I once "drifted" in Beijing and knew a lot about the gateball in the city. The gateball courts in Beijing, especially the eight connected courts in Fangshan, Tongzhou, and Shunyi, are the most famous. Among them, the six connected courts located at the east gate of Ditan Park in Dongcheng District and the two connected courts not far from the north gate are probably the liveliest places in Beijing. There are frequent gateball events of all sizes and levels.

Yao Yao's grandfather, Liu Jiu, retired from the North Sports University and has more opportunities to visit Ditan Park in Dongcheng. Yao Yao has been following his grandfather to the court to watch the excitement since he was very young, and sometimes even helped with scoring. I remember one time I saw him shouting on the field, and I found out that he played in the game when he was 9 years old. It has been three years now, and he is 11 years old this year. He participated in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Gateball Competition held in Shunyi District, and even played in the game. He also acted as an ad-hoc commander. His team even achieved fourth place. This itself is a piece of news in the gateball community of Beijing. Yao Yao was given a "book" by a doctoral leader, a talented woman from Hunan, and his grandfather. It is a collection of artistic photos. In the team of gateball enthusiasts, this book stands out and is a microcosm of gateball sports in China. Yao Yao is laying the foundation for his future.

At the age of 11, his main focus is on studying, and he has always been at the top of his class. I once wrote a piece about "Gateball Boy Su Dongfang". This gateball boy retired from the army this year, and the first thing he did was to use the money he earned to repay the debts owed by his elders in the gateball community. He told me that when he returned home, he still wanted to do something in the field of gateball. This is the shared wish of myself, his master Tang Laoya, and his father Su Kai.

Yao Yao is lucky. He has caught a good era and a group of good people. His grandfather made a list, which I won't list here. We look forward to this rising star shining brightly.
